Wow, I'm super slow!
I wondered why, if Trump didn't collude with Russia, he'd be so against the investigation into the matter. I've just finally had my lightbulb moment: It's because he's rather sensitive about his presidency being considered illegitimate! And that's what it would probably be considered if it turned out that there was collusion between someone in the campaign and Russia. ...You know, as if his overall incompetence alone shouldn't have disqualified him.

My god, I could rant on about this topic forever. Like: WTF is wrong with Republicans? Do they really think they can get away with their complicity? Will they (e.g. complicit VPs shouldn't get to be president)? Once Trump is out, what new laws will be made to make sure something like this won't happen again? Isn't firing your FBI director just out of anger also a superduper standalone reason to get you unpresidented?!

No, no, no, and no. There are about a dozen different things that Trump has done that should get him impeached, but he won't be. Because yes, the Republicans do think they can get away with it, and they're right. All the protest and petitions and calling our reps in the world is going to do jack shit because the Republicans (and most of the Democrats, let's be honest here) are 100% bought and paid for by corporations that have way more money and legal power than the people. Despite what some people may have been deluding themselves into believing, the US is not a democracy but a corporate oligarchy, and has been for some years now.

Absolutely nothing is going to happen to Trump or any other Republican. He'll likely be re-elected in 2020 because there is no democracy in this country anymore. In the meantime Republicans will probably find some way to suspend our voting rights entirely. They've already started, with this sham "voter fraud" investigation they've got going. Just a way to disenfranchise more people, and it's only going to get worse. I have no hope for this country anymore.

I can't even keep track anymore of all the shit he's done.
Ugh, corporations have way too many rights. For a pessimist I can be weirdly naive: I just don't understand how some people can be so greedy and so okay with fucking people over. I'm worried that if people with the power to bring down Trump don't see the light, it'll lead to war. Protests might turn into a civil war or other countries decide to do something about Trump. The sooner this administration ends, the better it'll be for everyone.
