1. On Monday I had a nice sense of achievement, when I made icons for the current [livejournal.com profile] dwstills challenge and it just flowed. No long trying around with textures and stuff. I just achieved pretty quickly the looks I imagined. Good to know I still have my Photoshop mojo. That was very satisfying. Also because I got everything done I'd intended to do that day.

2. Man, productivity is so satisfying! Yesterday I spent several hours tidying up my brushes & textures folder. You know, added "(credited)" to some folder names, when I've listed the maker in my resources; saved some abrs as pngs; checked if the maker name belongs to an LJ user or Deviant Art or is otherwise traceable. What's also satisfying is seeing that journals from which you've downloaded something years ago still exist.

3. Is [livejournal.com profile] doctorwho on vacation or something? Over 24 hours ago I posted icons and they haven't been let through the moderation queue yet. Not sure if I'm impatient or if it's really that long. The last post is from the 17th. Although admittedly there isn't much going on in the fandom due to the show's year off.

4. Some of the icons I posted were from 2009! I have no idea why I hadn't posted these before. I've checked my icon journal at least 3 times, to see if I really hadn't posted them.

5. Speaking of moderation queues: I wish I could post to [livejournal.com profile] dwicons, but I still have a post from I don't even know when in the queue, so I can't submit any more posts to it.

After having skyped with my sister for 1 1/2 hours, I looked at Twitter again and saw "Moffat" trending. I thought of Steven Moffat, but didn't expect it to be about him. I clicked anyway and it did turn out to be about him.

Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat quits to be replaced by Broadchurch creator Chris Chibnall

It is happening! Okay, let me list my thoughts:
  • Hopefully Moffat will have more time for Sherlock now. I demand the return of quality!
  • Speaking of Sherlock: I had expected Mark Gatiss to take over Doctor Who.
  • What I also had expected: To get the announcement of the new companion before that of Moffat's exit.
  • We have to wait over a year for the next season! But that explains why the exit announcement came the before the companion one.
  • I have no idea what I think about Chris Chibnall. I'll just have to wait and see.
