Things I had planned for 2012:
Watch all of classic Doctor Who.
Didn't manage to do that, but I got further than it looked like I would get. Most of the year it looked like I'd only get to season 2, but with a final spurt I managed to get to season 6. If I had had a little more time, I would have finished the season - only 1 serial (but it's 10 episodes long) to go! Anyway, at this rate I'll be finished with classic Who in about 3 1/2 years, heh.
Read all Harry Potter books in a row.
I managed to ruin that very early in the year, because in January I had the sudden urge to watch the movies. So I did that and then didn't feel like reading the books anymore, because 1. I remembered the movies too clearly, which would slow down my reread (and I'm already a slow reader), and 2. I was a bit worried that I'd imagine scenes the way the were in the movie instead of how they usually look in my head.
Complete my DVD collection.
Can't say I've done that at all. Well, okay, I now possess half of Spooks, but that wasn't what I had in mind. I still only have 2 seasons of Doctor Who! Not really my fault, though: The other seasons are either too expensive or not available with German dubbing. And I need German dubbing to get the family to watch it.
Make a list of fireworks.
