Taken from [personal profile] wendelah1, because apparently I can't get myself to write an entry without the help of a meme!

Doing: Today I finally made a Bardot top I bought about a year ago wearable. I don't like having nothing on my shoulders when I have something around my arms (temperature-wise it's so nonsensical). But with the neckline on my shoulders my bra was showing, because the, uh, torso of the top is a bit low-cut under the armpits. So I severed the torso from the ruffles and sewed short ribbons to the underside of the ruffles part, so I can fasten it to a sleeveless top (I didn't sew the 2 together, because I still want to wear the sleeveless top by itself sometimes).

Thinking/Wondering About: Should I ask my friend to accompany me to Solo? ...Do I even care enough about this movie to see it in a theater? Sure, it's Star Wars and it's about characters I like, but they're not played by the actors who made me like the characters, so I really don't know.

Reading: The Last Jedi visual dictionary (Hey, it's not just pictures!) and - because I recently tried to identify an illustration and failed (thought it was from book 7, turned out to be from a scene [Are they called that in books?] I totally couldn't remember from book 5) - it's time for another Harry Potter reread. Haven't gotten far yet, I'm still at the beginning of Philosopher's Stone.

Watching: I've finally caught up on NCIS (Just because of Abby's last ep. I'm content with the way she goes, phew!), so now I'm up to date on all my shows except for Supernatural.

Making: A layout for a new comm. Could do with more members, btw.

This banner is actually a down-sized version of what will be the header. I'm still in the Photoshopping phase - filling up the background takes forever. *sigh*

Writing: An entry \o/! I've also started a 2nd review of The Last Jedi, but you know how I can't get shit done, so it'll probably take a while until that's finished.

Wake up, check e-mails, read TV-shows newsletter, see that Pauley Perrette is leaving NCIS after this season.

Ugh, no! Abby is the best thing about this show! I suspect I'll keep watching anyway, but it won't be as fun anymore.

My source is in German again.
So Duane Henry stays, which is nice, but I'm sad that we won't see Sarah Clarke's character again. Instead we get a woman who's unknown to me, so I don't have an opinion on her yet. It's definitely nice, though, to see that Tony's replacement will be a woman.

Wunschliste's newsletter tells me that Sarah Clarke (I loved 24's Nina!) will be in the last 2 episodes of NCIS season 13 and her role will possibly become a main character!

Just read a TV newsletter and found out that

Michael Weatherly will leave NCIS after this season
That's a quite a downer :o/. But at least Abby will still be there.

Mulder is getting a different voice actor again
After getting dubbed by a different voice actor in the last movie, Mulder is getting a third voice actor. I'm so glad I don't care anymore! I'll watch S10 in English, so it doesn't matter to me.

I've discovered the Pony Creator. As if I need more procrastination tools, haha.

Last night my mom and I made Mulder and Scully.

Yesterday Firefox kept crashing before it even really started. After several times it suggested deleting some stuff and I agreed to it. That worked, but I had to download all my add-ons again. Good thing I have a laptop with the same stuff on that one's Firefox. When I copied Reminderfox's dates and saw my shows listed there (not actual airdates, only their general weekdays), I realized that some of the shows should be back by now and so I checked. Yeah, CSI and NCIS are back, the latter has even aired 2 episodes already. I could have sworn I had only some days earlier checked when my shows will be back and they were still a few weeks away. Time flies, I guess. Does no one around me watch these shows? At least no one talked about them. Oh well, the disadvantages of not being in the fandom.

At least for the shows that I watch. My god, 3 of my shows introduced spin-offs this season! And I watched them a bit differently than usually. Because in a somewhat recent interview Andrew Scott said that he had had the chance to be on an new American show. He wouldn't say what the show was, but I as far as I remember it was expected to be successful, so I suspect it to be a spin-off of a successful show. And maybe even of a show that I watch. CSI, NCIS and Supernatural are all successful shows and I can imagine the offshoots of the former 2 also being successful. I didn't like any of the new shows, so I'm not sure why I'm taking Supernatural's spin-off not as seriously as the others' (Maybe because of CW's reputation?). I was a bit sad (only a bit, because I agree with his reason for not taking the role) that there had been the possibility of getting a regular Andrew Scott fix and that he deprived me of it, but now that I've seen the backdoor pilots (Supernatural's felt more like frontdoor) I'm not anymore.

But... but... no! The cast has been the same for so long and Ziva was a good character! She was pretty sane and looks like a normal person (you know, not overstyled like so many other female characters on US TV). I hope they won't kill her off, so she'll be able to come back.
And now I'm worring about her replacement. God, that woman will probably also be there as a love interest for Tony. Man, wouldn't it be awesome if she turned out to be totally not his type and Tony would be left disappointed?

God, sometimes I really can't stand Tony and Gibbs. Both annoyingly insensitive and in addition the latter is a grumpy old man before he's even properly old.
Rewatching stuff one episode after another makes noticing some things easier: Season 9 went really crazy with the Tony/Ziva stuff, and at the end not anymore. That was weird. Instead there was Jamie Lee Curtis's character for Gibbs. Dorneget was great. And then suddenly gone again. I wonder if they'd brought the character into the show as a red herring, if they wanted to make it look like they'd set him up to be the replacement for a main character who would die in the deadly season finale.
