More Muse Treasure Hunt
Have I explained the phases?
Locked: We get a cryptic text where we have to solve where exactly to find the key and what the passphrase is. The where we get via coordinates from an audio file. And that's something I forgot to mention before: It reminded me so much of Lost ^^! Especially since the Paris one started with "4, 8, ...". And in the background of that one you can hear some notes - they remind me of Boe from the Doctor Who S3 soundtrack.
Primed: First someone has to get the USB key from coordinates, on the key is the activation code, when that is entered on the station's page the station gets primed and we get riddles to solve.
Activated: But only when when the riddle is solved the station gets activated and we get to hear more of the song.

Yesterday I was surprised to wake up to 2 stations locked at once. But I think I now figured out the timing of this. One day to find out where to go, the next day for the lucky people who live there to go to 2 stations and everyone else to solve the following riddles, that's the pattern. So Saturday shouldn't be too busy, but Sunday will be. And then we will have the whole song! \o/

So what we found out yesterday was that today Moscow and Dubai would happen. Moscow starting at 9am - that's 7am where I am. Whoa, early! So that meant I wouldn't get enough sleep, no matter how hard/early I would try to fall asleep. Because that's how it always is. But hey, it wasn't on that day, it was the next. Which meant there was nothing more to do and I had time to go and buy some food... and prepare food... and eat food. Ah, having time is good.

Was still a busy day. Took me until a bit past midnight to completely catch up on the treasure hunt thread. And now I know what a trending topic is. Because we got a weird task: Make #USOE a trending topic. So that's when Muse fans started to take over Twitter. Made it into the top 10 and then the topic got blocked because of the spammage. Good thing I was still busy catching up, or else I would have probably joined in. Ha, the Resistance! Still don't have a Twitter account. Anyway, the block was solved by spamming 2 other words. They made it into the top 10 too before they got blocked. ^^
But why were we asked to make that a trending topic? To make more people get Twitter, so we get more than one chosen tweeting one for every drop location? To get the attention of fans who haven't joined the treasure hunt yet?
