When I got on the thread on Tuesday, around noon, there had been a second set of clues from Muse's Twitter:
Station Colossus #1.1: He accepted and offered Truth on the Charles River.

Station Colossus #3.1: Détente or realpolitik - they were all MAD.

The thread went faster than ever and I couldn't keep up. People still mostly discussed whether to activate or resist. And the clues had been figured out, they all lead to Kissinger.

Yes, Kissinger was a proponent of both - and both did little to ease tensions and we could have had mutually assured destruction.

when I first saw this tweet I thought about a hawk/warmonger who turned into a dove but nothing jumped out. Then the Nobel solution was so elegant. I certainly wouldn't call Kissinger a "dove" - but he did get a nobel peace prize in 1973 so....

This one just seems too ambiguous. Kissinger went to Harvard, it is on the Charles River and the center of campus is called Harvard Yard. Then there is the story of the Pentagon papers which ended up in the media's hands on the Charles River.

The capitalized Truth means it's proper, such as a motto. The motto of Harvard is "Veritas", or Truth. It has a double meaning, which is why we were thrown off by Oppenheimer earlier. The first meaning is he went there for classes, the second is that he literally transferred papers here. He did both.

We had f o u r people on Twitter. 5:22pm (8 minutes before New York started), the messageboard crashed :O. But not the microsite. Was weird without the board. Only had Twitter. But then that's where we usually got our updates. 5:33 one tweeted "PACKAGE RECIEVED", another wrote "Girl snatched it and ran without the pw!".
"chick ran off with something. but i think was decoy no password exchange. agents still around" Yes, could be, now more likely than before. Now it's not just about getting the tickets. Now it's about Activation or Resistance.
"WHAT THE FUCK. this is paris all over again. everyone mobbed the agent on the street, one girl snatched it and FUCKING RAN"

5:50 the board was still broken, but on the otherwise empty page it said: "The messageboard is down for maintenance because it broke due to the high levels of traffic. it'll be back soon. sorry about this - kev". I'm still wondering if maybe they did that on purpose.
LOL, I refreshed and the text changed to "RESIST! RESIST! RESIST!"

"one more package intercepted, THEY LEFT. THERE ARE MULTIPLE PACKAGES." Multiple, WTF? All fakes or are there actually more than one this time? Argh, I knew NY would be chaos.

I didn't check Muse's Twitter, because I didn't expect them to update during NY. But 6pm I did and found a tweet from 25mins ago: "NYC Muse fans: beware rogue agents. Package is in transit." Now what does that mean? Their agent isn't at the drop location yet? Or that one of the fans got it and is on his/her way home?

"Girl went into car and came back. It was a fake. Random woman came out of a cab and gave ANOTHER package to two other fans. Decoys!?"
"no new packages yet, fifteen minutes to go. they will NOT, i repeat, NOT let us into the building"
"I think one activated and one didn't does that balance out?" Maybe there really are several real packages and there is a vote (someone on the board had that theory). But I don't think so.

6:35. The time for the agent to turn up was between 5:30 and 6:30. We had no idea if anyone got the real key. I think those who suspected this mission is designed to fail were right. But if anyone got the key then there's still an hour. When that is up, we did it, we resisted successfully.
