So no one's gonna wonder what happened to the wedding or Rory. And I'll just make it convenient for myself too: Because the light got Rory, there could be a chance to get him back. Maybe he wasn't dead yet, maybe the light will freeze him in time and when they get him out, they will be able to save him.
