The day before yesterday my mom visited me and managed to make the internet work on my computer. That evening I got the rest of my flist catching up done on my computer instead of the laptop. Yesterday my mom went home and took the laptop with her. Because it's hers, she needs it and because I didn't need it anymore. So later that day my anti virus programm wanted to restart the computer so I let it. While it did something or not I watched a bit TV and was patient. Then I needed to find out why the screen was dark. If it was the computer or the monitor (the screen has been occasionally going black for weeks, but I though it was a loose cord). Took me a while to find out it was the monitor (and the cord wasn't loose). Dammit. Crappy timing, argh.

...from such squee moments as "OMG, I love the internet!" and "I'm so glad I was born into that time and not earlier!". Allow me to fangirl this period some more: Dude, I knew these days it shouldn't be too hard to find people who have spare monitors!

Currently using an old (I think 15 inch) monitor from a friend of my dad's. Probably buying the 19 inch monitor my BFF's boyfriend has left (for 30 €). And maybe getting a TFT monitor in June, when Mediamarkt will be getting the new kind that doesn't look different when you look at it from a different angle.
