Today I met up with my mom, my sister and a family friend. Because I like to spread the Sherlock love, I brought my DVDs. They'd all seen season 1 and I thought maybe I could show them season 2 or at least how that cliffhanger gets resolved.
So I showed them the cliffhanger solution and they wanted the rest of the episode. Yay! I got to see what I so love about watching together: the others' reactions. Another good thing about it is that you can explain things, if needed. I was a bit worried they'd misunderstand the type of love this episode is about (some people in fandom did and I can't blame them: it just seems like Moffat aimed at confusing people), but they got it.
And they liked the episode. Ha, no one can resist the quality of Sherlock! My sister loved the episode so much that she wanted to borrow the DVDs right away. Hooray! But also boo! Because she asked me to give away my precious! But the promise of getting them back on Tuesday and of sushi made me lend her the DVDs. Oh my god, I am S2-DVD-less at the moment!
