I finally got unlazy enough to type up my thoughts on the binary. Supposedly the digits Jim tapped (isn't it puntastic: digit also means finger, so Jim tapped digits with his digits) mean "there is no key" and while I like the idea, I never actually believed it (For serious, give me a goddamn source! The idea must have originated on Tumblr - they're the kings and queens of source neglection). And in my fit of unlaziness I finally checked if it's true.

Now, I'm going to make this all vague so that you won't be able to see my reasoning and have nothing but my word for it. Trololol, no, I'll make a proper post with explanations and sources and stuff. But be warned: I know fuck all about binary and can't vouch for the accuracy of my sources.
