When I ordered season 8 & 9 of Spooks 2 days ago, Amazon informed me that I'd need to show my ID. No idea why, previous seasons didn't require ID-showing and I don't remember S8 or 9 being more violent than them.
Today I had been awake for less than 10 minutes, when the doorbell rang. As expected, it was an Amazon delivery and the mailman said he needed to see my ID. He also asked me to meet him at the elevator - since he was at the intercom, he couldn't know it was a bit inconvenient for me. I considered changing out of my PJs, but decided that it would take too long. So I grabbed my keys and ID and for the first time ever I stepped out into hallway in PJs.
Turns out it his request was totally valid: poor mailguy had several other parcels in the elevator. I showed him my ID, but that wasn't it. He had to enter some numbers from my ID into his new tech and it took a bit to make the thing do what he wanted. We had a bit of nice on-topic small talk. Holy shit, I felt like a properly social person!

ETA: I just opened the package and it turns out it's Doctor Who season 4 instead. 1. Why was that lonely DVD sent in a package that big?! 2. Why did it require ID-showing?!
