I couldn't even type up an entry about this. But then nightbulbs posted an entry in which she asked how everybody is and I finally managed to put my frustration into words. Here, have some copypasta with some additions:

It's The X-Files love month and I'm taking part in it, because 1. The X-Files! and 2. it's a good opportunity to make that XF layout of which I had an idea. At least I was smart enough to choose a day at the end of the month as my posting day. At the beginning of the month I needed to finally finish my Edinburgh picspam.

When that was done, I started on my submission for the XF love month. The layout started out well, until I got to the limit of my draft. And that was very limited indeed: All I had prepared was the background, all the colors and the vague idea of dates and comments over lines. The rest I still had to come up with and I didn't feel I could even start coming up with something decent until I found a Google font. But Google fonts are now using woff2 and these aren't working for me. The breakthrough came when I though of googling "googleusercontent nameoffontthatiwant woff". That actually worked, because apparently Google can also search CSS, ha! Then the layout making went well, although to make the time for it I had to sacrifice my daily exercise (I hate to constantly compromise on that).

Then I was done with the layout and tried to make XF icons (because on the last of the month everyone can post something) - all while having a one-episode-a-day rewatch of season 2 and commenting on every ep. Trying to make icons was extremely frustrating, because I'm feeling really uninspired at the moment. Not to mention that a lot of the caps are with deep shadows, thus limiting my creative options. Yesterday I saw reason and decided to give up, I just can't continue like this. I have something to post on my day, I have a few icons to post on the 31st, so why bother to try to make more. Now hopefully I can go back to my daily routine again.
