My flatscreen TV (LED-backlit LCD display) is making crackling sounds and then turns off. These aren't the normal static-sounding noises - they're louder, sound like short circuiting, but there's no burnt smell. It's happened 3 times over the last 3 or 4 days and at least once I've noticed that the TV went into standby: the red light was on and I only needed to press a button on the remote control and it went on again.
The TV is 4 years old and the store where I bought it doesn't exist anymore (it was my favorite, dammit). :o/
So far I didn't have any luck googling the problem. Does anyone know what the problem is? Can it be fixed or is the TV fucked?
