After 4 days I've finally lost it. Okay, so first let me explain that I'm still not okay with Sherlock 4x03, so I've been reading Tumblr's BBC Sherlock tag. It helps because people there feel the same pain and come up with some fun theories about how 4x03 isn't real (I have to say it's amazing how many things in S4 lend themselves to being interpreted that way). I don't think there's a secret 4th episode, though I enjoy the idea. But I still like the idea that the events of 4x03 aren't real and then suddenly something occurred to me. This is a theory that I haven't seen in the tag yet, although I should point out that I haven't read every single post posted to it. So here's my thought:
The Final Problem is the story in which something happens that ACD later reversed (due to fan pressure, ha). What if Mofftiss are doing the same thing in their Final Problem? What if they wrote that story specifically to create backlash (Moffat's troll tendencies are well-known) and then they explain 4x03's events away later?

Where I am: off my rocker, probably
How I feel: denial
What I hear: the noise of my escaped marbles rolling around
