The'se days I'm spending most of my on Tumblr and a post saying "man building up courage to listen to favorite band's recent stuff" just came accross my dash. Ow, right in the Muse feels!

I had my sister pre-order the new album for me specifically for the purpose of getting access to presale tickets for an intimate show (I made her do it, because wasn't ready to again deal with the ticket-buying stress myself), and now that we've got the tickets, it feels as if I owe that album a listen. And since I'm gonna see them live again, I won't be able to escape some new songs, so I might as well know them in advance.

Funny thing: A few days ago I sadly looked at my Muse-concert shoes (red Converse onto which I had glued glitter, to make it look like the Glitterati, because it's my favorite of Matt's guitars) and thought I'd never get to wear them again, because I don't like Muse's recent stuff and my sister, who's my concert buddy, lives in Australia now. By the time of that thought she had already announced that in October she'll be visiting, and a day or 2 later the small-venue tour (which promises more old songs) was announced and it's right when sis is here!
