Okay, for a bit of balance let me start with positive points:
1. I love that band!
2. I have a ticket!
3. They're in town, I don't have to travel!
And now to the part where I go FFFFFUUUUUUUUUU:
1. So last September I saw Muse and it was the best concert ever, then in October I saw Wir sind Helden again and it wasn't as much fun as it used to be. I'm worried, what if Muse ruined concerts for me? Or was is just because those concerts where so close to each other? I really, really hope so.
2. While front row is mostly great it's not always good when you're recording. Standing further back means I need glasses, but since it's a concert contact lenses would be better. Fucking contact lenses! I rarely use them, so I couldn't get used to putting them in. It's a real pain in the ass. I know I'll waste at least one lens.
3. It will be the first full gig I'll record with my new camera. I wanted to be prepared for that, planned to do a test recording, BUT THEN I FORGOT! I don't know how long the battery will last. I don't know if there's enough space on the memory card. And when I thought about that stuff last night I tested the reaction time from ending a recording and starting a new one. With shocking results. After pushing the button it takes a second to start recording and the last second before stopping gets cut off. Then there's the time that saving occupies. While it does that I can't start a new recording, I have to wait until it's done and only then the record button will react. At least saving time is constant, I won't have to wait longer for a longer video. So in total I'm losing 6 seconds between videos. SIX SECONDS! That's ages in which video-worthy stuff can happen, argh! I think the camera came with a editing program, need to test that. Maybe I can avoid some those pesky pauses.
Oh and then there's uploading those big videos. I tried to upload just one from the Red Hot Chilli Pipers gig, but gave up after multiple attempts were thwarted by my wobbly internet connection. Imagine a full concert of that! >_<
