Doctor Who 6x03 The Curse of the Black Spot
While waiting for the new episode I tried to expand my review for 6x03.

Meh, pirates. Pirates do nothing for me.
"Yohoho! ... Or does nobody actually say that?" Hehe.
The pirate look suits Amy.
I like song-drugged Rory.
So the Doctor notices that the Siren doesn't come through water, she comes from reflections. Meanwhile Toby starts polishing a medallion. And I'm just so annoyed by that. Not because oh noes, he'll inadvertently summon the Siren but because I DON'T GIVE A FUCK. Not a single one. Not even a partial one.
IT FEELS LIKE NOTHING'S HAPPENING. D:
Ooh, OOH! Amy hears something - looks like something's finally happening! Ooh, the eyepatched woman!
How the fuck is summoning the Siren supposed to save Rory? And why the fuck is the Doctor so sure that they can reason with the Siren? This is fail storytelling. Actually it's fail showing, because instead it's telling. IT'S A GODDAMN ASSPULL! The Doctor just says it, but what makes him think that? I don't know, so I'm not buying it. Even though I know that he must be right, because if the Siren has Rory, she must be okay - they wouldn't kill off Rory again.
So there are gateways to somewhere else. Reminds me of The Girl in the Fireplace, that doesn't make me like it more, though.
Oh, so the Siren is something like the Voyager Doctor. That doesn't make me like it more, though. I can't tell what exactly I don't like about this episode, but things either leave me cold or make me cringe. Every revelation just... I don't know, is clichéd?
What the FUCK is that sound?
But Rory didn't teach Amy how to save him, right? How does Amy know if she's even breathing into his lungs? That CPR doesn't look like much. Can we stop with Rory's near-deaths? Oh please, as if he's not gonna wake up in a moment!
Pirates! In space! LOLWUT
The Doctor checks for Amy's pregnancy again. Oh, so he didn't get a result last time? This really is Schrödinger's baby? Heh, cool. I wonder how that works. Has it something to do with the future, is there something that will determine if she's pregnant or not? Is it different realities touching or something? I like this arch. Without the bits of it this episode would have been a complete failure.

How I feel: disappointed
