Needed to watch this episode a second time. When I watched it the first time it was like the episode before it: not good enough to be good, but also not bad enough to be bad. There was something that bothered me about this episode, but I absolutely couldn't put my finger on it. Still can't. Something about it just felt weird. But I knew it would be that kind of episode that disappoints me at first, but will be better on rewatchs when I know what to expect. Turned out to be true when I rewatched it, I like it much better now.
6x10 The Girl Who Waited
Cameraphone! So people who travel with the Doctor do take pictures. I know I would.
Okay, so there are 2 buttons and Amy gets the wrong one of course. Why didn't she ask which one?
Ooh, communication through the glass, that reminds me of several things.
A week passed, really? How did Amy survive that? Different time streams also remind me of something, only one thing, an episode of Stargate Atlantis.
Always those quarantines!
The whole 2 time streams things explained. Pretty fast.
I think I understand the "too much outside in one half and too much inside in the other" thing now, which was why they moved episodes around. This episode is very inside so far and I'm craving some outside.
Oh, hey, it's that building with the name that I've forgotten! It was used as the foyer of the hostpital in 2x01. Did she just say "Disney Land, Clom"? XD
Ah, nice, outside.
Hey, nice prosthetics! Old Amy is well done. But that's it with the outside again.
Heh, Amy has a Rorybot. He's a bit adorable. Disarmed, hahaha.
Amy built a sonic probe, she reprograms, she kicks ass. Old Amy is pretty awesome! And she doesn't want time rewritten, doesn't want to die. I don't want her to die either. Wouldn't it be cool if we could keep her? But shows have this habit of going back to their status quo, so it's not going to happen. :o(
"...And then you get to know them and their face just sort of becomes them. Like their personality is written all over it. And they just turn into something so beautiful."I KNOW, RIGHT?! This is so true and beautiful, aw. Hey, I love Rory/Amy, but what kind of argument is "You're Amy,... he's Rory."?
"If anyone could defeat predestiny, it's your wife." Does that mean Amy will save the Doctor from dying?
Two Amys in the TARDIS, wouldn't that be interesting! But I'm sure it's not gonna happen.
"Come on, Rory, it's hardly rocket science, it's just quantum psysics!"
Rory hits a robot with the Mona Lisa. Haha, yeah that's gonna w- wow, it actually worked!
I don't get what's supposed to be so tragic about Amy getting touched by a robot - she's just unconscious and all robots were taken out, they can't inject her anything.
:O The Doctor lied. Again. That bastard. So the stupid paradox would be too big, hmph. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE! *waves Eurasia flag* ...No, but really. Not fair! And too predictable.
Oh, look, all of a sudden the panes in the TARDIS door are clear. But only from the inside.
Old Amy gives up her life and now I'm wondering what if young Amy never gets to live this long. Old Amy really gives up, she just lets the robots come closer. Why? Was she afraid to find out what it's like when her timeline gets erased or something?
Confidential 6x10 What Dreams May Come
"...as Karen kicks some serious bot." Hehehe.
It's a bit fun watching Karen drive for the first time. I wonder how I would do.
Ah, yes, the Millennium Center it's called.
"I did not age well." Pff! Wait, they did her hands? Just not enough, I guess.
What's with the beard, Arthur? Haha, the little underwater TARDIS.
