Started my reread of the Hobbit last night. I had completely forgotten that my copy is in German! Usually I like to read books in the original language (if it's one of the 2 languages I know). It felt so weird to read a book in German again! o_O
Because it's in German and the sentences are so simple, I automatically imagined reading it to my hypothetical child (Argh, shut up, biological clock!). As if I could - I'm bad at reading aloud. ...Is it silly that I keep thinking about the books I have and being sad that my (non-existent!) children will have to wait until they understand English (unless they happen to be half-British or something like that) until they can read them or have them read to them?
