Another movie off my to-watch list. Star Trek made catching up on pop culture fun again (before that I watched Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, which wasn't bad, but over all too surreal for my taste).
- Wait, is that Thor?
- What, that's Kirk? So the T actually stands for Thor? :oP
- Ooh, looks like there's some timey wimey going on.
- Oh, a pregnant woman? Is the current Captain Kirk not James T. but instead the baby will be? What did she say whose voice that is?
- Ah, his name is George! I guess I'm right, then. I feel so smart. XD
- Alas, poor George. I barely knew you! *sniff*
- LOL, the Nokia tone. Oh, god, it is Nokia. J.J. Abrams, do you have a deal with them or something?
- Is that Greg Grunberg's voice?
- So... Spock is a first name?
- Winona Ryder is Spock's mom, ha!
- Sector 47 - I see what you did there, J.J.!
- Oh, hello Eomer!
- Paul McGillion!
- Amanda Foreman!
- Aw yeah, Captain Spock.
- Chekov! \o/
- Spock/Uhura?
- I like this movie! The characters are good and there's lots of other good stuff. Like "Out of the chair." and the tone it's said in.
- Bones says his "dammit, I'm a doctor, not a ___" line. And it's followed by Spock saying a Sherlock Holmes line! Hee.
- God, why did it have to be Romulans? When I hear that word, I keep thinking of Romney, ew. And "future Romulan" took me way too long to get. I was like "Futurama what?".
- Ah, the timey wimey leading to an alternate reality, that's how it should be!
- Can't believe Spock would just leave Kirk stranded on Hoth.
- Old-school Spock!!
- "Red matter", is that what you call it these days? Looks like the water in the Müller Device.
- I bet that horse metaphor spawned lots of Kirk/Spock fic.
- Simon Pegg! Scottish accent!
- Oh god, the voice-over at the end!
- And now the credits. Look at all the familiar names! J.J. really loves his team.
