but what I really like about English-speaking countries is that it's totally okay to speak with your own accent on TV. In Germany it's a requirement to speak without an accent. Come on, it doesn't make the reported news any less serious! It doesn't make the acting worse (I'm pretty sure that in some cases it would even improve it)! What's wrong with accents?! Accents are charming. Accents are a part of who someone is.
