Madam Vastra can just take her veil off in front of people? And am I imagining it or does she look a bit different?
The Doctor is out of it and then keels over, a regular character asks where the Doctor is and the companion says that's him. Well, if that isn't very The Christmas Invasion. :oD
Not liking the new opening credits. I don't even know what I think of their visual side, because the music weirded me out so much.
No. That comedy sound when Vastra manages to make the Doctor sleep (This isn't gonna be so much like The Christmas Invasion that the Doctor is unconscious for most of the time, is it?), just no.
People are apes, but men are monkeys - hahaha, sexism, so funny! Also, what's with declaring one species better than another? ...Argh, I need to hold back the grumpiness, now is not the time - now's the time to enjoy Peter Capaldi!
Vastra is a bit harsh to someone who's never experienced a regeneration before. Jeez, give her some time!
Oooh, I liked Clara's speech. And so did Jenny, heh.
Poor burning dino! D:
Ugh, no need to dumb Strax down. There are things that he really should know. Like where to find a mouth on a human. Human faces are built the same way as Sotanrans'!
Did Strax just find porn in Clara's subconsciousness?
Ooh, addressing the fact that the Doctor looks like a previous character.
Aw yeah, letting the Scottish out!
I have a hard time suspending my disbelief that you'd get to choose where in the newspaper your ad is placed.
Why would the Doctor just leave Clara there?!
Wow, that's cruel, she's out of the room and still can't breathe, turns a corner and again even more robots.
That flashback was weird. Clara just happened to have it moments before it'll come in handy? And what was the point anyway, when she could just arrive by the conclusion that it's an empty threat by logic or a lucky guess?
So it wasn't the Doctor who put the invitation in the paper and it wasn't the the chief robot either. I bet it was Vastra. To bring the Doctor and Clara back together and make them investigate the robot restaurant.
What a handy handle on that elevator bench! รด_o
51st century, the Doctor says and only now - despite him previously drawing attention to the ep - I realize that The Girl in the Fireplace was a Moffat episode too.
And now I can even call it lampshade hanging, seeing as it's not any similar ship, it's Madame de Pompadour's sister ship. So these ships can actually by themselves travel in time? Not just make portals to other times inside themselves?
I don't think air sharing would work that well... unless the droids would only react to breathing in from the surrounding air. Because Jenny is still breathing in and in order take in more oxygen, she'd have to breathe out first.
Oh, thank fuck! We're finally addressing from whom Clara got the Doctor's number in her first episode as the original. Hopefully it was Clara herself. You know, one of the many others that's out there because the original Clara jumped into the dying TARDIS's time scar. And I really fucking hope that one day we'll find out how Clara and the Doctor made it out of whatever that place was where that time scar had taken them. ...Although I doubt it watching that will be that sastifying. Because I've realized that to me Moffat's Who suffers from the same problem as classic Who: While the episodes can be messy and easily forgettable, the stories can be really interesting when you read the wikia entries where the facts are all in one place.
Ooh, Clara's phone is ringing and I wonder if it's past!Clara. Maybe past!Clara wasn't in the shop, maybe she was just calling. In which case the question would be who gave past!Clara the number of the woman in the shop (and past!Clara could have not recognized it as her own number because she didn't have that phone/SIM card at the time).
Oh, it's surprise!Eleven! This could be so moving, if I had properly cared about him. Let's see if he'll tell Clara to go into a shop. ...Argh, the woman-in-the-shop mystery is still not solved!
"I, I, I, I don't think that I'm a hugging person now." Well, that makes me very sad.
Heh, chips, and the Doctor has no money. How very 1x02.
o_O What was the last scene?! And oh, look, a mysterious woman. Shush, self, we wanted be not grumpy. We managed for most of the episode! But come on, does Missy come from Mysterious Woman?
WAIT! What if Missy was the woman in the shop and the one who placed the ad in the paper?
