So it's the end of August and I still don't know the fate of my borked external hard drive. You'd think that when you task an actual professional company to save my precious data they'd let me know when they've given up. They said they'd try until the end of July, but I haven't heard from them since. Is it too much to ask to get a confirmation that they're done now? Their silence could mean they've been sucked into a black hole, for all I know.
So then I asked IT friend to call them and ask what's up. And now I'm none the wiser. He wrote that the woman he talked to said the employee who worked on my hard drive isn't with the company anymore and that she doesn't know of the process (no idea what that's supposed to mean, I'll have to wait for IT friend's reply to the mail I just sent him). What the fuck is this chaos, is there no one who manages this lot?!
