I'm really liking how travelling with the Doctor is really just a hobby for Clara. She actually does have a life in between travels.
Pfft, nice cut from answering the phone to holding the memory worm.
Ooh, Steve Thompson. Ha, look at me suddenly looking forward to a Doctor Who episode by him, although I can only remember him for good episodes of Sherlock, not Doctor Who.
Hellooo, Keeley Hawes! Oh, seems that Miss Delphox is going to be our villain for this episode.
Would be really useful if I watched Leverage, because then I'd be able to recognize if this episode is supposed to be a shout-out to the show. I'm having a vague feeling that it is. And it would be about time, since apparently Leverage has done several Doctor Who shout-outs.
I don't know, Doctor, I think my guilt would scream loudest, if I did not know why I'm robbing a bank. But if I knew the reason, I'm pretty sure I could rationalize the break-in and thus wouldn't feel as guilty.
The Teller's nebulous cage looks familiar. Isn't it the 456's from Torchwood?
Hmph, didn't expect Saibra to be gone already. I liked her. I also like Psi snarking about professional detachment.
Hee, look at the familiar faces that Psi is projecting onto the wall.
And now Psi is gone too. I still refuse to believe that he and Saibra are dead.
This episode's timing keeps surprising me. We're just 2/3 into the ep and Clara & the Doctor are already in the vault.
Ha, of course Saibra and Psi are alive!
Hooray, Keeley Hawes is also Karabraxos!
Really, the Doctor is the Architect? I mean, I did suspect it when the Doctor had the realization about the Architect being from the future, but... but... why? Why would he... oh, right. Because there are things to be gained and in the future he'd already know that the risk is worth it. I wonder what the Doctor and Clara will gain. :O What if Clara and the Doctor save Miss Delphox from being fired and she becomes the woman in the shop? I know, it's Karabraxos to whom the Doctor is giving his number, but she seems to be worse than her clone, so I'd rather have a clone be the woman in the shop. But I hope that this woman-in-the-shop business isn't the only reason for the Doctor going to be planning this heist, because although I do love stable time loops, they have these annoying ontological paradoxes.
The silence of the paused episode while I type bits of review is driving me crazy today! </off topic>
Will one of the teleporters be used to free the Teller?
Is that just a weird cut (you know, leaving out scenes that would have given us more information) or did the Doctor really just know for no good reason that he has to plan a heist to do whatever it is?
... Wait, what is that? This flashback makes it look like the Doctor planned the heist in his past, not his future. I can't put my finger on it, but something about this still doesn't make sense.
Mmm... I guess I can let the in-story reason for the Doctor & Clara's deleted memories pass. If the Teller didn't have power over what info gets to Karabraxos (because otherwise the Doctor & Clara could have just let the Teller know why they're there and he could have concealed it from Karabraxos [yeah, I'm trying to ignore that the Doctor & Co. wouldn't have needed to feel guilty about the break-in and even if they had been detected, via the Teller the in this case, I think, rather believable info would have gotten to Karabraxos that future Karabrtaxos herself had sent them]) and if future Karabraxos did tell the Doctor what to do.
Ah, another one of the Teller's species. I guess that's what old Karabraxos regretted and to fix that she called the Doctor. The ontological paradox hurts.
Aw, Adam and Eve and the Very Limited Gene Pool.
But happy endings all around! :oD
Pfft, "miracle worker". If calories consumed on the TARDIS had no lasting effects, I'd be more worried about the energy loss. Speaking of which, my brain is starting to get fuzzy. God, I'm hungry.
Hooray, over all I liked this episode! And the Doctor wasn't so grumpy! We still haven't found out who the woman in the shop was, though. So I guess it's Missy after all.
