Last week I finally joined all my data again.
After my external hard drive had crashed 2 years ago, I had divided all my files/folders into created before the crash and edited/created after the crash, so I'd know which files had been edited between the last backup and the crash. It would have made it easier to put the files/folders together again once I got my stuff from the crashed hard drive back (poor thing never even had a name - maybe it should posthumously be named Elvendork0, since I now name all my external hard drives Elvendork).

I've finally accepted that the lost data is lost forever (4 months of diary! Which is usually pretty boring, but there were several birthdays, Christmas and a Muse gig in these 4 months, argh! Let's see if I'll ever get over that.), so it was time to join the old and new files & folders.
It's so nice to have everything in one place again! Well, mostly in one place. The RL folder had to go on Elvendork2, because there's not enough space on the PC. Putting things together again was easier than expected - it took more time to decide what to put on which PC partition and what to put on Elvendork2. Nothing took more time than the transfer from hard drive to hard drive, though.
