Sooo...I remember why I needed the German version on tape. Because in case I want to see it in German. I do have the DVDs, but not the German ones, because I like to have English subtitles with my English audio in case I don't understand something. And the German DVDs don't have English subtitles for some weird reason, so I bought the UK version.
I now have the German uncut version taped and it still isn't like the original: The autopsy scene was completely black&white. Oh well, whatever. What I like is that they left the original audio for Nick's panic attack. Because, really, you can't copy an awesome scream like that. I mean, it's not like our voice actors are untalented, but somehow they rarely manage to get all the emotions of the original into their version.

In related news: It was time for me to get a GD icon, so I looked through the 100 I made. And WTF, they were baaad quality! Which shouldn't be surprising, most of them are jpgs! But how come I didn't notice the lack of quality before? I don't think I changed the monitor settings. And I'm sure didn't get a new monitor between making those icons and now. I mean, I have no idea, when I got this one. But I remember how my best friend and I hauled the heavy son of a bitch (a fat 19 inch monitor it is) through town and up the stairs (6 storeys). I already put a flatscreen on my Christmas wishlist. Mmm, flatscreen!
Anyway, I'm gonna png the icons now.
