I had nothing special planned for the week, but then on Sunday evening for some reason I felt like visiting the Muse website (even though I usually don't go there) to listen to their songs (when I could have just played them on my VLC Player). Maybe because I had just listened to other stuff online (Battlestar Galactica's awesome version of All Along the Watchtower ...is awesome), maybe because it was meant to be. ^^
So when I got to the site, there was a countdown, at the time at 10 hours something. Of course I had to come back the next day. There's a treasure hunt (all over Eurasia ^^), expected to end on Monday. Then we all get a song from the new album. But not the first single (that's Uprising) - we'll get United States of Eurasia. Some lucky "agents" (the treasure hunt is so Alias, hee ...but I hope Phase One doesn't end the way it did on Alias...) get even more.
So now I spend all day (and will do that for the rest of the week, I expect) reading one of the two treasure hunt threads on the official board. Even if the clues are figured out (Phase One: fans are supposed to go to a place in Paris to get a USB stick) and it's not yet time for doing it (that's tomorrow between 10am and noon), the thread is going on and I keep reading, so I don't miss any of the fun. A mod threatened to close it 'til tomorrow morning, if the posters keep going off topic. Yes, please, that would be helpful!
One of the off topics was Harry Potter. Earlier today my sister called & asked me if we could go see the 6th movie tomorrow instead of Sunday. After a bit of thinking (obviously not enough), I said yes (I hope this wasn't a bad decision - what if they need agents in Hamburg? I'm one of the people who thinks it's Hamburg, not Berlin. I have the money and time to go there ...well, I had - until I agreed to go see a movie the night before I suspect Hamburg to happen). But only when they started talking about HP on the thread, did I remember something: I still have to finish rereading Half-Blood Prince! D'oh! 5 chapters to go - better start now. Tomorrow will be busy with the end of Phase One & start of Phase Two.
Damn you, Muse, for planning my week without asking me!
