Ooh, starting with the opening sequence. Heh, I like that new voice over.
Okay, so I was a bit annoyed by that first scene, because they pretend it's all real and I was still very much convinced it wasn't. Then the next scene started with Sex on Fire and I was thinking, wait, that song is new! Or at least not that old. So I researched it and the album came out September 2008. What if Alex actually woke up? How does she get back? Or she's still in a coma (I mean, wouldn't a bullet to the head leave a scar?) and she knows that song because someone played it for her. They played music for Sam too. OMG, the DVD XD! Chris and Shaz not together anymore, what D:? :O Who is that guy? History to repeat itself? Talking about Sam?
News on TV about a case we'll see when Alex is back in the past?
Aaaand Alex is back! With mascara?
"Fuck me sideways!" XD
Ha, I was a bit tired and it was hard to pay attention, but then: OMG, Sam file!
Dude, I kinda love this Jim guy. The things he says are exciting. The way he talks about Gene. The they is us. We're getting prepared to learn the shocking truth. OMG, I WANT IT NOW! I WANT THE TRUTH. Why yes, I did just put two Muse lyrics in there. Hey, when it fits so well... Anyway, this better be good! Okay so that was the speech from our point of view, but what does it mean from Jim's? Alex was an accident - what, was Sam's death Gene's fault?
Okay, I love it so much, I transcribed the speech: "You fooled everyone into believing in you. But I have the horrible, unpopular job of showing the world what you really are. The things you've done, oh, they won't wanna believe it. Because they love you and they think that they know you. They'll hate me for it, but in the end they will see. As sad as that will be for them, they. Will. See."
Three years ago? Ha, I shouldn't have paused before that, then I'd seen it earlier. So three years ago can only refer to Sam's death in some way. Or maybe to Alex's new hallucinated dude. Or both.
I'm not sure if I'm reading to much into, but now everything Jim says seems to me like it has a hidden meaning. "You can't leave here, no matter what happens, this place defines you. Which means you're gonna have to sit here and watch me close your little kingdom forever." That could be something about Gene's true role in this. Oh well, I guess we'll see at the end of the show if it meant anything. Whatever his role is, he can't be death himself, because no one will close his kingdom.
I don't think the last song had the effect on me was that it was intedned to have. I mean were in a scene here that leaves you worried. And the song sounds just that calm, warm, cozy to me that I feel there's nothing to worry about. Gene will be all right, everthing will be all right.
