I just watched the Cormoran Strike adaptation's trailer (though I still don't know if I'll watch the show).

Two weird things happened during the LoM rewatch I just had: 1. I actually kind of like Gene now! And 2. I noticed that he's actually nice to look at. And which happened first? Possibility A: Did I realize he's attractive and so I cut him some slack? Or B: Did I find his personality less ugly and that has made me find his face less ugly?

Either way, the thing that happened first had to be brought on by something. Possibility B makes more sense to me (because this is how it usually works for me), though I can think of absolutely no evidence for this in this case. I have no idea why my opinion of Gene would suddenly improve! He's still not my sort of person.
For possibility A I can think of only one potential cause (but hey, that's still more than possibility B has going for itself): that maybe Gene has become somewhat attractive to me because the character and I are a bit closer in age now. Though there's still something weird about that: my last rewatch was only a bit over a year ago.

I've just started rewatching Ashes to Ashes and I don't know if I realized that during my previous viewings, but A2A!Gene is a bit different from LoM!Gene. He's gotten classier in looks and as a police officer. Gene being more professional gives me feelings: He's learned something from Sam. ♥

Oh hey, the good thing about my generally improved opinion of Gene is that now I'm finally on board with Alex & Gene's UST.

And it's not just any episode, it's the fucking finale! And yet my Life on Mars rewatch has priority. That's because I'm finally making progress, due to postponing the icon-making part until after the rewatch. So now it's every day an ep, unless I have something real-lifey planned (thanks to cap making, watching one episode can take up a whole day). And LoM isn't just the priority so I get the rewatch finished, it's also because now it's an obsession. I really, really love this show and it hit me again full force during 2x04.

But now it's almost over again, so I have decided to rewatch Ashes to Ashes to counter the withdrawal. I can even fit that in my day without losing any time! Because I won't be capping or writing reviews (see lifein1973's rewatch tag for the latter) I can watch while I'm on the crosstrainer.

Anyway, I can't believe I'm putting off the Orphan Black finale! Never thought that would happen. On the other hand, I'm scared of any more characters getting killed off, so that probably helps me avoid the ep. It's planned for tomorrow, though. I can do it! I'm expecting a happy ending over all ...you know, except for the potential deaths.

Like every day I'm starting my day with Tumblr. I get to this official Doctor Who post, see the picture and all I think is "what a ridiculously-shaped pair of glasses". But then I get to the text and read "Keeley Hawes" and go "Wait, what?!", look at the picture again and finally recognize her. OH MY GOD! Holy fandom collision, Batman!

I hope I'll like her role and it's a longer one. But meh, a mysterious woman. So far she reminds me of Madame Kovarian. But luckily it's too early to judge. And so far I don't care about her mysteriousness. I only care about the character because she's played by Keeley Hawes.

She likes Martha and still feels grumpy towards Clara's overly cute face. She likes Rose better than Clara too. Let's see if she'll compare Donna and Amy to Clara too. Although maybe she already did and I've forgotten about it.
Mom wonders who this Mr. Saxon is. I'll let her find out for herself, hee. Have I mentioned she reeeally liked John Simm's Sam from Life on Mars?

So in 3x06 we had Mark Gatiss playing a character called Lazarus, which was already Sherlock enough, but then I noticed that the mysterious man looks familiar. It was the guy who played Sebastian Wilkes in the Blind Banker, heee!
Which was made even more amusing then by the following Doctor Who episode having Donovan actress Vinette Robinson in it.

... but didn't find anything I didn't already know. There's a serious lack of quality pics of this show. As a photoshopper this makes me really very sad!

Anyway, when I looked at this pic yesterday, I noticed that there's something Supernatural about it: 2 cool-looking guys and an old-school car? Pose-wise this might as well have been Sam and Dean with the Impala. Then I realized about the LoM picture that one of the guys is even called Sam. Which was followed by the realization that Gene rhymes with Dean. Sam and Gene and their cool car, heh.

...and I finally found the time to do it (not being in the mood to do anything productive has its advantages). It's weird, it feels like the show has gotten better since the last time I watched it, ha! The problem is that I now reeeally want to make icons of it. Why can't days be longer? Why do I need sleep?

*sigh* Another favorite show over. Haven't finished my review for the Lost finale yet, so most likely you won't ever get to see it but I'll try to get it done this week.
