All the windows in my apartment look in only one direction and it wasn't the one where Jupiter & Saturn could be seen. I tried the hallway bay window, but another part of the building was in the way. So using my telescope was out of the question.
I went outside and waited for the sky to get dark enough and the clouds to disperse. Jupiter didn't look that bright, but maybe it wasn't dark enough yet and/or still a bit cloudy.
I could only see both planets with the binoculars or the camera zoom.
The next time someone came out of the building entrance 2 from mine, I went in. After that Alias rewatch that made me feel a bit like a spy, heh. On the other hand I felt somewhat justified going into that entrance, because it's part of my building.
From this entrance's hallway bay window I could wait and take pictures without my hands freezing (yeah, I hadn't bothered taking gloves along) or my glasses fogging up.
The planets didn't seem to get much brighter though, so I gave up before they disappeared behind the dense fog.
