I has one. Let me show you it:

There are no continuity errors. Everything actually makes sense. Because there's a time traveler we're not watching and he's in the past, changing our canon!
Or maybe we don't get to see what the character does because we can't see him. ZOMG, it's CLAUDE! And the roof of the Deveaux building is his TARDIS!

D'oh, I'm really spammy today. Sorry. Sooo...

OMG, TV Tropes just led me to this page about an interesting pattern:

  • In book 1, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher was Professor Quirrel, who was evil.
  • In book 2, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher was Gilderoy Lockhart, who was incompetent.
  • In book 3, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher was Remus Lupin, who was good.
  • In book 4, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher was Barty Crouch Junior (masquerading as Mad-Eye Moody), who was evil.

  • So in book 5 we have Umbridge, who, you could say, was evil. But I say she was more incompetent. Because I want this pattern to continue. Oh, but if you don't let that count then I'll just let the exception prove the rule. Because:
  • In book 6 Snape was the DADA teacher, who turned out to be good (Ha, I told you so!).
  • And in book 7 evil Death Eater Amycus Carrow.

See? That pattern, totally there. Awesomesauce.
