First, this is what a German test card looks like:


Last week I woke up and first thing I did (because it helps me really wake up) was switching on the TV. I heard the endless beep of a test card and wondered if I had left the Life on Mars DVDs on. Then came the picture and it was clear that this was actually TV. Or, you know, not. Dammit. Must have been the because of the thunderstorm earlier that day. At least it was only Pro 7 and Sat 1 on a Tuesday.
Anyway, I actually watched the test card for a bit. And I noticed the 2 white lines that cross in the middle of the pictures - OMG, like in the Life on Mars logo! Then I noticed the grid, which isn't completely like in LoM's opening sequence (in the test card it's square, in the opening sequence I guess it's 4:3), but still reminds me of it. Hee.
