So last Thursday I watched Sherlock 2x01. Episodes 2 and 3 will air on the 27th and 28th. The airdates look totally random, but while they are irregular, there is a theme behind them: The are all days off.
So, about the episode:
- I still adore the casting of Jim's voice actor, such a perfect choice!
- Sherlock and John are still using the formal you.
- This time I like it that they went for a serif font instead of using a sans serif like the original does. Looks good.
- Don't really like it that "Laters." was translated to "Also dann.", it just takes something away. I had hoped for something like "tschüssi".
- They didn't get any of the original on-screen graphics, they remade them all, so even though "I AM ____ LOCKED" was left in English it was in serif. That confused my poor brain, because it didn't look like it looked in the phone's screen.
- Ans speaking of the phone: In German the had every on call it a smartphone instead of cameraphone.
- Um, Mrs. Hudson says "It stings.", right? It's not "It stinks.", yes? Because the translation of that line was the latter. ô_o
