I just went over to the supermarket across the street to buy some milk. On the way I check my mailbox and in there was the self-addressed envelope for whose return I've eagerly waited. OMG, OMG, Andrew Scott replied to my fanmail! I was so excited that I had to at least inform [livejournal.com profile] keep_counting and [livejournal.com profile] the_silverdoe instantly, so I tweeted them while I stood uselessly in the supermarket. You know, the one that's right across the street from my apartment. I could have just waited a few minutes and send them a comfortably-at-the computer-written, @reply-including tweet.

Okay, now I'm back home, with milk and I haven't opened the letter yet, because I DON'T KNOW! I'm nervous, I'm not really sure why. Maybe it's because I've sort of interacted with Andrew Scott and it does not compute? Holy shit, some time in the past 3 weeks Andrew read and replied to my letter. Maybe it's my social anxiety, fearing that he wrote something my stupid brain will twist into criticism or something? I feel the same thing about PMs on forums. When I see that I have one, my first reaction is to think it's from a mod and wonder "Oh god, what have I done wrong?".

Btw, it's just a normal-sized letter that went from the UK to Germany, but it has 4 88-pence stamps on it! Isn't that a bit expensive?

OH GOD, I'M SUCH A FUCKING CHICKEN, SOMEONE MAKE ME OPEN THAT LETTER ALREADY!
