Headcanon meme
Okay, I know my bad luck with memes, but I'm posting one anyway. Blame [livejournal.com profile] keep_counting.

1. Pick a pairing or a character
2. Ask me my particular headcanon regarding something about them
3. Post to your journal to share your own headcanon!

Jiiim, because your mind comes with wonderful things about him (and I'm obsessed) :P

Perfect choice! Man, do I love to talk about Jim.
Okay, I don't even know if I'm doing this right, because I'm having trouble seeing the distinction between things I do believe are true (until or even despite proven otherwise) and things I really want to be true although I don't believe them. But here goes:

- I'm probably being delusional (because I need this to not get my heart broken completely) with this one, but I believe there's good in Jim. For me he's not a complete psycho. Nature versus nurture: I think he was a bit fucked up due to nature, but he could have been a decent human being hadn't he gotten screwed over by nurture. Sucky childhood. Either he was frustratingly misunderstood and neglected or what I consider more AU than headcanon: a sibling of Jim died, mom couldn't cope & killed herself, then dad couldn't cope anymore and drank himself to death, but not before Jim and sibling(s) ended up in an orphanage where no one understood Jim or cared (and later he ran away).

- He does care about a few people and you're extremely lucky if you're one of them, because about the rest he doesn't give a fuck. He's nice to the people he cares about, but that doesn't mean he doesn't get pretty fucking scary to them sometimes.

- Hadn't he been so insane and evil, he probably really would have become an actor. Although, with his brain he could have been a lot of things.

- Jim from IT meets Sherlock: it was the first time they interacted, but not the first time they met. Fanboy Jim had stalked Sherlock for years. Of course Sherlock didn't know, because Jim is clever enough to know how to stay unnoticed.

- Jim's job is planning, but sometimes, when it's possible, he likes to be there - in disguise - where his plans become reality. He probably walked across that traffic island where that poor guy in the bomb jacket stood.

- He likes to go grocery shopping in disguises. And he finds it pretty amusing when he's being helpful, because none of these stupid people know about his true personality.

- More in the "I really want this to be true, but no way it could be canon" territory: Molly/Jim and/or Jim/Seb. Because I just need someone to care about Jim (and mourn him like he and his brilliant brain deserve ;___;). They're good influences on Jim, but not good enough to make him a good person - no idea if it's even still possible to fix him (I keep thinking of the Doctor Who episode Boomtown, where the villain gets turned back into an egg and gets another chance at life - Jim would totally turn out good if he got to grow up again and was raised right. ...D'oh, a plotbunny just bit me: somehow Jim gets turned back into a baby, Molly and Seb try to raise him as a good person - OT3 family! Awww!). Seb doesn't even want to be much of a good influence, he just wants Jim to be less crazy. Whereas Molly wishes Jim could be a good guy. Something that Jim likes about Molly is that she wouldn't rat him out although she doesn't at all approve of the things Jim gets up to.

Hm, that's all I can think of right now. I'm pretty sure there is more - I always forget stuff when listing things.

ETA:

- Jim is cuddly.

- When planning is going well, he cackles/giggles/other-type-of-laughs about his brilliance.

Mycroft sleeps with his umbrella, they have matching PJs.

Dammit, I should have written that yesterday. Yesterday I spent a bus/tram/taxi ride (can't remember which one[s]) thinking about all my Mycroft headcanons and now I'm having trouble remembering them. Okay, let me try:

- When Mycroft said that caring is not an advantage, he thought of his relationship with Sherlock.

- He's a good guy. I mean politics is a dirty business, but I think that I would mostly agree with his views and the things he does.

- He doesn't have much of a social life: there's only his job, making sure Sherlock is okay, and his antisocial club - so he likes it when he needs to abduct contact John or whoever again.
