Doctor Who 7x14 The Name of the Doctor
Stealing a faulty TARDIS? OMG, a glimpse of Gallifrey! The first Doctor! In color! Six! And Four! Seven! Clara in an 80s outfit that I actually sort of like (must be because it makes me think of Ashes to Ashes). Three! If we don't get to see every single one, I'll be disappointed. Two! Five! Meh, at least we got all of the Doctors from classic Who.

No, but really, you guys, the Doctor's name is gonna turn out to be Rumpelstiltskin. For little knows my royal dame that Rumpelstiltskin is my name.

Ugh, thanks for making the meeting between Clara and River so awkward! Since when has River ever been unconfident?
Trenzalore!

But they didn't just kill Jenny, did they? :O

I don't see how visiting one's own grave is crossing one's own timeline. There's no own timeline to cross once you're dead! Unless your whole freaking lifestory is written on the tombstone, which is a bit unlikely.

The Fields of Trenzalore don't look very fieldy from up there. I imagined something yellow and sunny.

The death of the TARDIS makes me sadder than that of the Doctor.

Oh, so that's River from within the computer! Well, that explains how she knows about her own death.

OMG, the Valeyard is mentionded! \o/

The Doctor's name is Please :oP. "I didn't say my name." - "No, but I did." River ex machina! I'm annoyied that it worked like that, but I'm amused that it's not just River but River out of the machine.

The console room looks good with all the ivy.

The Great Intelligence will be scattered along the Doctor's timeline like confetti? God, that sounds like Clara is actually the Great Intelligence. Don't freak me out! Or the current Clara is the original one and she'll scatter by following the GI. I don't think I like that.

No, Clara, don't do it! I think I know now why I don't like the idea. Because from the very beginning Clara has been just as fucking doomed as River. That's just not cool.

"I was mentally linked with Clara. If she's really dead, then how can I still be here? [...] Spoilers." And there we have the set up for the anniversary, yes. I had hoped that it wouldn't be something random, unconnected.

So Clara isn't lost after all? I like that.

The one who broke the promise? Ooh, the Valeyard?

Well, that episode was... weird. Interesting, but weird. Started out promising, then it broke all timing. I mean, stories have a beginning, a middle and an end. That ending was a bit early and didn't feel climactic enough, and everything after that didn't feel like it could be an ending. It was just dangly stuff, randomly dangling there like it doesn't belong.

What really bothers me is how everything is so hyped up and then there seem to be no consequences. Okay, so the problem with the Doctor's tomb was that it was the TARDIS with the timey-wimey lines the Doctor had touched in his lifetime. But we know that nothing big can happen when he jumps into it, because that's just how it is! Argh, that makes me so angy, because they constantly pull that stunt. I mean, I swear there used to be less bullshitting in this show's storytelling. Hey, I know it's a fantasy show, but rules are clearly made up on the go and then discarded again (like the reapers that appears once and never again). How are we supposed to follow a show like that? I need stories that makes sense to me, not this crappy, lazy storytelling.

If it is then Robert Carlyle can play the next Doctor and I will be hyperventilating for an undefined amount of time! O.o (Sorry, I've been thinking about this for way too long and your Rumpelstiltskin comment jumped at me!)

Yeah, me too, for some reason.

One thing that really bothers me is: if Clara is really scattered across the Doctor's timeline, then she should be able to see all the regenerations, that is Thirteen and maybe others if he actually has more regenerations is store, plus John Hurt's Doctor, whoever he is. So Clara saying 'your Eleven faces' makes the whole thing incoherent. All those little incoherencies stop me from truly enjoying Moffat's episodes very often.

Hm, yeah, I'd be pretty cool with Robert Carlyle as the Doctor. XD

I know, right?! I doubt Clara would have been scattered in a way where she would only encounter the present and past Doctors. But I do suspect John Hurt to be the Valeyard, which would mean he's not a proper reincarnation but a sort of branch-off.
I think Clara only knowing 11 faces distracted me from being happy about us finally seeing a new Doctor before the current one has regenerated (something that's been on my wishlist). Unless he is the Valeyard. In which case I'm still happy, because I wanted that storyline picked up again and thought it would be great for the 50th anniversary.
