I'm five episodes in, so apparently half-way through the show already. D:
Thanks to bedtime I didn't watch even more yesterday. Man, did the ending of 1x05 make me want to keep watching, but the thing is that I've recently (and pretty fucking miraculously!) managed to get back to a more practical bedtime and I absolutely can't allow myself to fuck with it or I'll be back to going to bed when most people start their day. And that's not the worst part. The good thing about bedtime now is that I actually fall asleep within a few minutes instead of several hours.
Anyway...
Orphan Black! It's so good!

- What a wonderfully tight-knit plot!
- The female lead, going on off on a personal mission and being other people reminds me of Alias. ♥
- I adore Sarah and Felix's relationship.
- I like that we got to see a bit of Sarah preparing for pretending to be someone else.
- Helena as Beth creeped me the fuck out. As did Helena as herself.
- I'm a bit sad that we didn't get to see much of Katja (btw, the correct pronunciation is cut-ya), but it's probably for the best - as a German I just can't help pointing out mistakes about her. Btw, we don't say "Ja?" nearly as much as people seem to think. I guess the reason that Katja's birth certificate looked so real was because it was an actual birth certificate. I'm disappointed that they didn't bother to match their props. They said Katja was born in Berlin, but the Birth certificate says Würzburg. Which is neither anywhere near Berlin, nor has it been part of East Germany. Also, the birthdates on the birth certificate and her driver's license are different.
- I didn't like Alison until she was all awesome with Kira.
- Cosima is great, but the pronunciation of her name is so weird to me. I know it with the first syllable stressed (same goes for Helena [interestingly the stress is on the second syllable with the name Helene, at least in German]). And making a new friend in the episode that's all about people spying on the clones? No, no, no, Cosima, no!
- Dat police station! Another female detective, a female M.E.! Holy representation done right, Batman! \o/
