Oh my Glenister!
Remember how I said that I imagine Cormoran Strike with Philip Glenister's face? So I was very amused when I learned that his brother Robert Glenister is the reader of the audiobooks.

Super interesting interview! I've loved Robert Glenister since Spooks. I sort of want to listen to those audiobooks now.
My mum pointed out that the silhouette on the cover of "The Silkworm" looks like it could be Richard Armitage, so now I see RA as Strike. Don't know who they'll pick when the tv adaptation finally comes, hope I won't be disappointed.

I had to rack my brain about his role until I finally remembered he was that good politician who lost his job for something that wasn't true. Huh, I liked his character, but I had forgotten about it.

Haha, Richard Armitage is just too good-looking to be Strike.
Now I kind of hope Robert Glenister gets to play Strike - his chances should be good, because he already does in the audiobooks.
And I desperately hope the adaptation will be better than the one of The Casual Vacancy, oh god!

Then they ruined his character in series 9, but maybe you haven't seen the end of the show? No point in watching S9 and S10 though, complete rubbish.

I knoooow, but the silhouette on the cover of The Silkworm does look a bit like early days Lucas, and apart from the too-pretty face I think he'd nail it. Cormoran really doesn't have that kind of sex-appeal though. Then again I don't see who could be the right age, with the right interesting-but-not-too-good-looking physique but with enough presence and charisma... Robert Glenister would be great but he's too old, and so is his brother. Hmm.

I haven't watched The Casual Vacancy. I'm one of the people who actually did enjoy the book a lot but I felt an adaptation wouldn't work. Was it that bad?
