Fuesch vs. the Cursed Child booking site
After I didn't get tickets on the 4th, I kept checking the site every day, because they had posted something about daily tickets. Then on the 9th the "sold out" out buttons turned into "book now". Man, was I exited. I clicked a button and had only 150 people in the queue in front of me. It didn't take too long until it was my turn and there were still lots of tickets to choose from! But every time I tried to put tickets into the basket, I was sent back to the booking homepage. And the stupid page didn't bother to tell me why! So then I tried something different and registered first. I wasn't sent to the homepage again, but I couldn't get 2 seats (I want to go with my sister) in the same seating area. So I always had to go back again and check other dates for cheap seats that are in the same area. Meanwhile all the cheap seats were selling out. Then dates were even sold out while I was looking through the calender, so that clicking a date sent me back to the homepage.

Ugh, why did I even bother? After all this was after my sister had admitted she doesn't know when she'll come back. And my mom had told me she wouldn't come with me. I should only try for tickets +/- a few days when [livejournal.com profile] alias_chick will see the play, but it's very unlikely I'll manage to get a ticket around that time.

It sent you back when you tried to put the ticket into your basket? Or when you tried to check out?

I had a very similar experience when trying to get panto tickets. This time John Barrowman will be in Birmingham, not in Glasgow like in previous years. There it was no problem getting tickets online (the only downside was that you had to open several windows as they just assigned a seat to you but you couldn't choose to sit somewhere else).

But in Birmingham, whenever I wanted to pay for my tickets in my basket, it also sent me back to the page, telling me I need to fill out the form with my info, even though I had done that several times already.

It turned out it didn't like the word Germany in the address. A friend used the trick just to put UK there and was able to checkout. Since we chose the print at home option the address is not going to matter anyway.

I'll certainly try to remember this next time if I have any trouble. I also remember once when they said to put a 0 when they ask for details of your credit card that it simply does not have but if you left the field blank it also wouldn't accept it.

Now John is hinting on probably doing musical on Broadway. I am already exhausted from what that will mean in getting tickets.

It already sent me back when I was just trying to put the tickets in the basket.

Reminds me of how I booked Muse tickets for London and then noticed in the confirmation e-mail that apparently have the zip code field set to real numbers, because the 0 at the beginning of my zip code was missing. I didn't want to risk getting my tickets late, so I mailed them about it.

Heh, every time I don't want to give my phone number, I put 4 and 7 zeroes (because it's the realistic length of a phone number) in the field.

Yeah, one of my Star Trek Continues parcels arrived with a sticker by Deutsche Post to tell them my correct address. They also had left the zero out. Which is odd as they had sent stuff before and there it was right.

What was so frustrating it keeping asking for my address when I clicked that I want to print it at home anyway! No need for the address to screw it all up.
