So Scully's unconscious brain is pretty busy - don't tell me, she just dreamed the whole previous episode! Forseeing it would be somewhat acceptable, though.

Why is the CSM Karl looking so undamaged? I could understand the visions not being 100% accurate (maybe some things were filled in by Scully's imaginiation and that's what she imagines CSM [I can't keep calling him Karl] would look like now), but I can't imagine him actually looking so well. And I thought Spender's face reconstruction already spectacular! Maybe it's CSM access scientific advances?

Hm, CSM's face looks a bit red. Is that maybe supposed to be all that's left from nearly getting burned?

Well, if he explains it with the current political state of the US, I can almost understand why he'd want to end humanity.

So what we've seen in 10x06 is actually in the future. Okay, Scully is worried that it's about to happen, because Mulder's going to confront CSM, but I'm pretty sure they'll leave that big story for episode 10. After all it's the culmination of the 2012 storyline - you wouldn't want to waste that on any other episode than the finale.

Phew, back to actual Reyes. I was worried that the entire time we thought we'd been watching familiar people, it had actually been those bad lookalikes and we only continued to see them the way Scully had seen them in her not 100% accurate visions.

Thank fuck, confirmation that aliens were on Earth after Roswell. Or at least I'm taking the guy's comment about the alien colonization that way. Because no one will retcon the aliens, dammit!

Ew, CSM is William's dad?! Whoa! WHOA! If William isn't Mulder's, then there's no cure for Mulder. No wait, now that they know what's coming, they can already start making that cure. Mulder will be fine, if he gets it early enough. Whoa, what if Scully's cure is her immortality? It'll be made from her DNA and every survivor will have that, so in a way she'll live on long after her death!
Dammit, I really don't want it to be true that CSM is William's father. He can't be everyone's father! Maybe he was just bullshitting? At the end of the opening sequence it did after all say "I want to lie". Hey, what if he wants William for stem cells? Maybe he's not immunized yet or something.
