Yeah, I kept reading the story despite Jo's continued TERFing. After that thing last year (That was last year, right? My sense of time is a bit screwed, it might have been only earlier this year.) I hoped she'd have educated herself or that someone had done it for her. *sigh*
On one hand I liked that Jo included the orphanage, which clearly made it into the story due to her activism, but one the other hand it makes me worry that she might include her TERF beliefs into future stories.
It took the story a bit to take off (just narrating, no character action) but then the good storytelling came and I got hooked.
Though then it got too dystopian for too long. At least for my taste.
I found it difficult to gauge where in the story I was, how many chapters there would be. Ended up with more chapters than expected.
Towards the end the summarizing narration was back, I didn't like that very much.
