This day started early, got up at 6:14. Because 7:30 we were picked up by our coach for the Loch Ness & Highlands tour. Yes, picked up - isn't that awesome?! We were the first, so we could choose our seats.

After everyone had been picked up we were en route to the Highlands and our driver was reeeally talkative. He told us interesting and entertaining stuff about the places we drove past, some of it bullshit, and his life story. It was really fun to listen to him, because he had my favorite kind of Scottish accent.

Stressful view.

You know I'm from Germany, where we drive on the right side. So sitting on the right here probably wasn't the best idea, as every time I saw a car coming from the opposite direction my brain went "Collision course! DX".

The mountains got higher and then we reached the Highlands. For reasons I can't remember I was photo-lazy, so I can't show you any pics, hmph. Which means I have to describe the landscape and I suck at describing. Hm... well, at first it was kind of flat and desert-like ...not in the sandy way. It was grassy and boulders were strewn all over the place. And then there were big mountains covered in grass. Looked strange to me, because I only know mountains that shape with trees. But is was pretty impressive.

A less bouldery picture.

The Three Sisters. The camera makes them look smaller than they are.

According to our driver the set of Hagrid's hut had been there somewhere.

I remember this moment. It was when our driver called McDonald's the American embassy. XD

Somewhere near the place where we had stopped for lunch there was Glenfinnan Viaduct, which was seen in Harry Potter. Sadly that wasn't on our way and we didn't get to see it.

Links fahren.

About 13:45 we arrived in Fort Augustus, where there's one end of Loch Ness.

At least we have a postcard.

Loch Ness.

We sat at the shore and wrote some postcards.
There was a Dutch mom constantly calling one of her two sons there. "Owen!" It got a bit annoying. I wonder what he did.

Nessie?

15:30 we left and drove along Loch Ness. My god, it's long!

Urquhart Castle

Hahahaha.

Lochend... you won't guess why it's called that.

Then we drove through Inverness, where the roundsabouts have names.

Ooh, now I know what's Karen Gillan's hometown looks like.

Then the landscape looked like home.

Corona! :oD

It's like the Black Forrest without trees.

Back in Edinburgh \o/. Hey, it's that bridge.

Holy sunrays, Batman!

Just after 20:00 we got off at Princes Street. Ah, finally back!
