10:15 sister and I left for the airport. But not directly, we went to the post office first. I got my stamps \o/, sis also got herself some stamps and for me (because getting to her phone was quicker than I could have gotten to my camera) a photo of posters they sell there.

The homecountry of this show is a wonderful place!

We took the Northern Line and then the DLR to London City Airport. This is when I noticed that the DLR has no drivers O_o, only people who lock the doors and occasionally check that people have tickets. I'm guessing the DLR drives automatically at a predetermined speed as soon as all door are locked. Well, if you don't have to share your roadway with other vehicles, you can do that.

About 11:30 we arrived at the airport and checked in our luggage. I had food at Pret A Manger for the actual last time and then we went through security.
I bought a 0.5 liter bottle of water for 2.20 Pounds - which means I actually got the same amount of water for less at a music venue! Just like on previous occasions, I had trouble seeing the value of the coin I was holding (Gah, redesign your stupid coins and put the value in a big number on it!), so the cashier told me.

While waiting for our gate to open, I saw the 2 armed policemen again. It's a really fucking weird sight to see a guy with a big gun walk into a store and buy something, let me tell you.

Although our gate wasn't open yet, 12:50 sis and I started towards Gate 10, which was ours, according to our bording passes. When we were at Gate 4 or 5, we read on the display board that our gate opened and it's now #6. Ha, good timeing! We were the first people there, which was a bit creepy. It made me feel like we were at the wrong gate. I don't think we've ever been so early for boarding.
So then came the other passengers and there was the old classmate again, heh.

Around 13:15 (a time I'm quite fond of btw, because the average schoolday with its 6 periods ended at 13:15) we could get into our shuttle bus that took us to our plane at gate 10. As I had overheard, we didn't use gate 10 because the door wasn't working.

13:30 our plane took off.

This is the weather we left behind.

Because of the clouds, we didn't have the awesome view we had on our approach. Only when we were above water, we got out of the clouds. I saw a 22° circular halo around the sun, but didn't get a decent picture. :o/

14:00 (still London time, of course) we flew over the Dutch coast (this is Rotterdam port again).

Complimentary meal.

I'm glad we got milk, but I'm a bit worried this thing could burst.

As a lover of symmetry and somewhat of a designer myself, this wonderful logo is giving me complexes.

Ah, cloudscapes. It's so cool to fly through mountains of clouds and then out of them to see valleys of clouds.

16:10 (local time) we landed in Dresden.

Aw yeah, gangway again.

The weather to which we arrived.

Mom came to meet us and got us a taxi. It drove us to my sister's apartment, where sis and I showed mom our pictures, told her of our trip and ate pastry that she had brought. Om nom nom, welcome-home pastry!

What is it about cats and suitcases?

Later I went with my mom to her apartment.

I modeled my new tartan dress for her.
