I'll just leave this quote here for myself
What’s been your craziest fan moment?
Some of the screaming is hard to get used to. The fans that I really like are the ones that are really respectful. I don’t want to be intimidated, I like to talk to people and people to talk to me, I don’t want to lose the opportunity to actually talk to people. When people get hysterical, there’s no room for interaction. I’m really grateful for my fans, they’re sensible and a little bit cheeky, they take the piss out of me!

Note to self: Having a conversation with Andrew would be cool with him. Bucket list: Meet Andrew Scott, have a nice talk with him, get a picture with him, ask him for a hug. And later write fanmail to him, appologizing for any awkwardness (because no doubt I'll feel stupid about things I've said or done - I have a habit of worrying about these things, even if it's quite possible that nothing awkward actually happened, my brain just manages to distort things).

Well, since I'm making a post, I might as well talk about the whole article and the pics.

  • I don't like this article's focus on the weird side of fans and why has it become a thing to always point out the slash? There are other things to fandom.

  • I'm easily amused, so I find it funny that he mentions Thom Yorke. Simply because any Radiohead mention leads to me thinking "LOL, Radiohead", because that's a thing in Muse fandom. Since I know pretty much nothing about Thom Yorke, I wonder if he's even the kind of person Birdland is about.

  • About The Stag: "It’s one that women will really enjoy, it’s not too RAAAAARGH TESTOSTERONE!" I'm glad to hear it, because I've feared it would be quite "RAAAAARGH TESTOSTERONE!". Also, I wish I could see Andrew say the capitalized words. XD

  • Locke is mentioned too. Still waiting for this movie too. My god, how long does it take from hearing about a movie to getting to see it?

  • Not even the handsome Andrew can make turned-up pants look good to me.

  • I love his smile, but I don't like the photo where he's so very smiley. There's just something off about it. I think because it's too blurry and the laugh lines don't show.

  • What bothers me about the picture next to the smiley one is that I don't understand his hair. It looks shorter than in the other pictures. They wouldn't cut his hair for just one photo, right?

  • Mostly nice pictures! I almost want to icon them. The problem is that although I do love Andrew and I love making icons, I don't have the desire to make icons of him. I'm torn because my head says I should make Andrew icons, but my heart doesn't.

I love your posts about Andrew Scott because I'm always afraid that if I read stuff people I admire say in interviews and the like I'll end up disliking them. But from the stuff you post he does sound genuinely lovely and he says smart things.

I get the 'I have a crush on X but I don't want to make icons of them' thing. I don't know why that is. I almost never make icons of David Tennant, for instance, and I hardly ever icon actors out of character. *shrug*

Explain the 'LOL, Radiohead' joke please? I'm curious.

Haha, that's the problem with Andrew. I think my crush properly took off when I found out unbearably lovely and smart he is.

My head is trying to convince me to make icons of him, because on my icon journal there's a tag for him that has one lonely entry. I still don't want to make the icons. I have started to download all Andrew interviews I know of, though.

The "LOL, Radiohead" thing comes from having had Muse's sound compared to Radiohead all the time. So it's sort of a "screw you" reaction, not to Radiohead but the person who makes the comparison. And then the LOL became a thing to say to any mention of Radiohead.
