Edinburgh vacation, day 2
My sister found our bedroom too cold, so we swapped with mom and family friend. Later it turned out it was just that the heating wasn't working. Unfortunately we got that fixed. My sister likes tropical temperatures, but I don't.

Flowchart of great wisdom.

Why, hello, Mr. Holmes.

We did nothing too exiting that day. I bought postcards and a new wallet (Because my old vacation wallet's zipper broke. Yes, I have an extra wallet for non-Euro currencies.).

Something locally fitting.

We went to a patisserie (om nom nom), and that was it for the day.

Back in our apartment we tried to fix our internet and then discussed what we wanted to do and when.

Oh, I had no idea there was a Sherlock Holmes statue in Edinburgh? Why is it there? The plate is too small to read it.

I've seen the statue in London.

I really did not see much from Edinburgh, because of the heavy wind and rain when we were there in January. We walked from the station to the castle up at the hill but then it got closed so we went to the painting gallery. And I realized I had seen a picture of John Barrowman and his sister sitting in one of those seats.

Because Arthur Conan Doyle was from Edinburgh. The statue (which hasn't been there the first 2 times I visited Edinburgh, apparently due to the contruction of tram tracks) is opposite his birth place. There's also a pub called The Conan Doyle there. Somewhere else in Edinburgh there's a pub called Moriarty.

Ha, after having been to Edinburgh 3 times I still haven't managed to visit that gallery!

I had no idea ACD was from Edinburgh! I definitely have to go back one day. When the weather is better ;) I just posted some pictures for you, if you want to have a look. I'll never forget that trip.
