Mom and sis visited Holyrood Palace & Abbey.

The rest of the day sis did her own thing. Among other things she did another sightseeing tour, this time one that went past our vacation apartment, so we put Jedinbear in the window.

Here you can't only see The Elephant House, but also a bit of architechture which I haven't seen anywhere else: houses that have different ground levels, because they stand at a bridge.

Mom, family friend and I went into the old town and on the way I finally took the time to photograph this awesome shop.

Guess what made me take a picture of this! (answer)

Staaaiiiirs *pants*. And we weren't even at the top yet.

Some more bit of new houses standing in between old houses.

Nice balcony, but the stoney-courtyard view probably isn't so nice.

We bought tickets for the The Real Mary King's Close tour later that day. The foyer has a nice ceiling.

I may find the architechture creepy from afar, but up close it's really cool.

Hee, I like scaffolding nets that show what the building beneath looks like.

Hi, doggie!

We ate at Scott's in the Park and totally didn't do silly things with forks.

I love it when stuff is designed in a smart way! The cup sits tightly on the cap. Mmm... stacks of coffee.

I needed to go to the toilet, so we went down the street to McDonald's. Because it was still over an hour until our The Real Mary King's Close tour, we sat in that McD's for a bit.
When we walked back towards the old town, we heard music from Princes Street Gardens. It appeared to come from the stage and unlike the music we had heard when we we're sitting at Scott's in the Park, this sounded like quality. I thought it could be even be the Red Hot Chilli Pipers and we went and checked.
Heeee! We stood and listened for a while.

At some point my mom vanished, so family friend and I went into the crowd to find her. She was actually outside, but the fun thing about having gone into the crowd is that later that day it turned out that my sister had also been there and filmed a bit: in 2 of the videos I found family friend and myself wandering through the crowd.

Rebel squirrel.

Then we went to our The Real Mary King's Close tour. The hall has a pretty ceiling too.

The tour was interesting, but not spectacular. Taking your own pictures wasn't allowed, so we actually bought a photo for 6 Pounds.

When we came back to the apartment, my sister had put sunglasses on Jedinbear.

Shortly after 11pm (because in Germany it was already past midnight) sis and I surprised our mom with Mother's Day presents.
