What a weird candle!

What a clear night that was! Moon corona and in the top right corner there's Orion.

Creepily tall flame!

And now to the Leipzig Zoo pics. This is the food my sister packed for the 4 of us.

We took the train to Leipzig and this is Dresden main station's Christmas tree (it was late November '14).

This is where we sat and I'm an easily amused Lost fan.

I had no idea ours and Leipzig's crests are so similar (only the color of the stripes is different).

Colorful!

Big shelf fungi with moss on them.

Heh, sparrows got into that cage.

Red pandas are cute!

Northern hawk-owl. I couldn't get a sharp picture of it. :o/

Pretty!

That long neck! This is in Gondwanaland, where we spent most of the day.

Also pretty!

Good thing we brought our own food! Because the zoo's food was expensive. Also note the still fogged up lense - the heat in that building, OMG!

Where I put my backpack and coat, because I'm fangirly fangirl who fangirls.

We did the boat tour through Gondwanaland.

A photo of me taking the above photo. ^^

Squirrel monkey.

Silk tree, I think.

I didn't know there are plants that sit on other plants (and not be parasites)!

Tiny cones.

Big plants are big!

Humidifying.

It's a cocoa tree!

This roof lets all of the sun in and collects energy with which the building is heated at night.

Scary bridge, too high up for my taste.

Interestingly shaped leaves.

It's a pineapple plant!

Komodo dragon chilling.

Waiting for food to swim in?

Nicobar pigeon

The zoovenir shop put frogs John between Sherlock! :O

OMG, there are lightsaber lollipops!

Hee, dried mushrooms in a mushroom-shaped jar.

When we got out of Gondwanaland it was already getting dark and we didn't have much time for the rest of the zoo.
The elephant enclosure was surrounded by little Asian TARDISes.
