I think I've found my favorite way to decorate tree-shaped cookies.

This cake has cake inside.

This is such a pretty café!

...My mom and I were there with her brother & sister and their families. You know, some of those people we've been estranged from.

After the café we wandered around the city for a bit.

A house from 1697.

This one's even older!

Pretty gate is pretty.

Hee, suspension railway has its own candle arch!

A bit of Dresden at night (aka winter afternoon).

Hee, someone's put mistletoe on the bus-stop sign.

This control box on Schillerplatz has Schiller on it.

...Including some of his works.

Heh, Christmassy sticks.

The stars aligned: Moravian star on the church, the crescent moon, a planet probably, a star.

This was at a Christmas market.

They had Christmassy-packaged sausages. XD

Big pyramid is big!

What a cozy little corner!

It's a small Ferris wheel!

It's hard to see, but hee, this burger booth says "Burgermeister".

Behold the glorious cup lamp!

This booth had the prettiest ceiling.

On Christmas Eve morning the fog was so thick that you could look directly at the sun and see sun spots.

What a cute little cup!

Awesome design! Finally a glass I can hold without burning my fingers.

I'm good - I recognized Schillergarten right away! I should post my pictures of our Easter Walk in Blasewitz.

That suspension railway candle arch is so cute! I've never been there at Christmas time. I'll have to go there next time.

Yes, you should!

The Loschwitz Christmas market was stuffed with people, so maybe don't walk through that. Although maybe it was just that full because it was St. Nicholas' Day.
Whoa, I just realized that I've visited 3 Christmas markets last year (Neumarkt & Neustadt were the others), when I usually don't go to any.

Done! http://dieastra.livejournal.com/196570.html

Since I live far to the West, I rarely make it to Loschwitz. It's just not my usual hunting grounds.

I posted pictures of the Striezelmarkt, and with the co-workers we were at the Neumarkt one. It is really beautiful. I love especially the real sheep ;)
