Interests meme from [livejournal.com profile] lookat_thestars
Comment on this post. I will choose seven interests from your profile and you will explain what they mean and why you are interested in them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so that others can play along.

anagrams
I think the first time I heard of anagrams was in an episode of the Simpsons. They are great for hiding messages ^^. And generally entertaining. The main character's name in the story I'm never gonna write (because I have only imagination, but no writing talent at all) is an anagram of my favorite author. Oh and there's also her Aunt whose name is Anna and she kept her last name when she married because she didn't want her name to be Anna Gramm (that should have been a hint to that there are anagrams in the story). ...I'm also obsessed with names.

eric weiss
Probably the most lovable character ever. Thanks to actor Greg Grunberg, no doubt. I'm still obsessed with Weiss. I think I only thought about it just yesterday and came to the conclusion that he is my very favorite character EVER and it's most likely gonna stay that way.

impala
The Impala is the third main character of Supernatural, home of the Winchester Brothers and the love of Dean's life. How could you not love the shiny that is the Metallicar?!

matt parkman
Matt was my hero long before I've even seen the first episode. Look at the picture and guess why. Exactly, because he's played by Greg Grunberg who is made of awesome and chocolate sprinkles on top.

red heads
Read hair is just so beautiful! And kind of Scottish.
That could have started with Scully.

scots
My fascination for Scotland is my mom's fault. Once upon a time (when this part of Germany was still a seperate state) she was dating a Scotsman (which they didn't like very much) and I could be his daughter (it's a bit unclear when exactly I was conceived :o/). But I'm probably not, because I'm looking a bit like the guy my mom had a thing with later and his son :o(.
Also: the Scottish accent is delicious!

three
Three was a shortlived show (13 episodes of which only 8 were aired in the US, I read). I'll let the voice over of the opening credit explain what it was about:
A high end arts and jewel thief.
A master of the short con and martial arts.
A hacker Robin Hood who stole from the rich & gave to the poor.
The Organization's job is to protect the status quo. You three are each the best at what you do. ...and now you will do it for us.

Later I had squeed moments when I saw two of the actors again in other fandoms: Edward Atterton (who had played thief Jonathan Vance) in Alias as Syd's fiance Danny, and Julie Bowen (Amanda Webb the con artist) in Lost as Jack's ex-wife Sarah.
And if you can find me the complete show in English I will love you forever!

Sooo...that inspired me to add some more interests to my pretty lame profile. When an interest isn't linked that means I'm the only one who has it listed, Y/N? Peoples, please to be adding "sex with dean winchester" to your interests! Don't pretend your not interested in that!

LOL! You picked some good ones!

Bath and Body Works - I'm obsessed with this store and all of its products, basically. :p It's pretty scary how much money I spend there ...

Dead Guys - In all of my fandoms, there seems to be at least one guy who is no longer of the living. That's usually the guy I have a thing for. In Buffy, it's Angel and Spike. In the Anita Blake series of books, my favorite character is Jean-Claude, who happens to be a vampire. In Final Fantasy X, my favorite character is Auron who is what they call "unsent" (it's just a fancy word for dead. lol). In Final Fantasy VII, I like Vincent. Also, not technically "living". I promise I'm not sick and twisted, this is just how things pan out. :D

Fran - a character from Final Fantasy XII. She's just cool. I don't really know how else to explain it.

Heaven - I like reading about the different world religions, and getting their takes on the afterlife. Heaven is just one aspect, but it's such a peaceful, serene one. :)

Jem - a singer from Wales. She's got a beautiful voice, and some of her songs are amid my all-time favorites.

Moon - I think the moon is one of the most beautiful, spiritual things. I get sooo much inspiration from just looking at it.

Smut - LOL! Oh, boy. I like reading cheesy romance novels. I like reading smutty fanfiction. Hell, I write smutty fanfiction. It's not the be-all, end-all of my existence, but it's there.

:D I hope I answered these satisfactorially enough for you? Anything else you wanna know, any time, just ask!

Ah, guys who are still around despite being dead are the best ^^! But isn't the correct term 'undead'?
I thought Final Fantasy's a computer game. I'm not a gamer so I have no idea: They contain enough plot to make a character interesting?

I recently discovered smutty fanfic...I like to read it once in a while. But psst! My mom ocassionally visits my LJ ^^! *whispers* Oooh, so you write it! What fandoms?
[identity profile] night-is-fallen.livejournal.com on September 30th, 2007 05:26 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I guess they would be "undead guys", technically. Oh well. :p

Oh, you are missing out by not playing Final Fantasy games. They are games for the Playstation and Playstation 2, mainly, and yes, they have a TON of plot and character development. Before I started playing them, I thought the same as you ... that they were just GAMES, not anything else. But they aren't like Mario Bros. or something ... each game (there have been 12 different ones so far) follow a different set of characters through some kind of journey/quest. It usually involves saving the world or something like that. And the games take HOURS to complete. Not just like, "oh, I'll play for a day and be done" ... no. You get to save your games, because it usually takes well over a month to beat one, and that's playing it every day without fail.

Basically, to me, the GAME part of a Final Fantasy is secondary. The games truly play out like movies except for the fact that YOU get to control some of the parts. They've got all the good elements - romance, action, adventure, comedy. Oh, and they are definitely NOT for little kids. The plots are usually pretty deep with lots of symbolism and spiritual and mythological elements. But they aren't bloody and gory and full of stupid sex stuff like some of the other games out there, either. ;p

LOL Sorry for the incredibly long explanation. I just think that they are awesome. They turned me, a non-gamer, into someone who is OBSESSED. ;D

Most of my smutty fanfiction is in the various "Final Fantasy" fandoms. See? OBSESSED.

Oooo, nice picks!

alternative
Alternative music, alternative life style. I like everything outside cultural norms...not that I think I am ;)
hurricane
Hurricane Festival in Scheeßel!!! Maybe you heard about it? I've been there 6 years in a row and I'm already planning our next trip :D
m&c
Master & Commander. Oh, how I love this movie. So so so very great. Love the story, love the books, love Russell Crowe in it.
Romper Stomper
Another great movie with Russell Crowe. It was much discussed in the early 90's because he plays a skinhead, patriarchal talk about Hitler etc. I really rec it. The movie not being a Nazi...;)
SoNoTorious
Omg, Zach! Did you watch it? He's so absolutely adorable. SoNoTorious is definitely one of my happy places!
TOFOG
Uh. Russell Crowe again. Yep, I'm still a big fan but forgot him a bit because of all Teh Heroes Squee.
Tofog(The Ordinary Fear of God or Thirty Odd Foot Of Grunts) is his band. He started singing before he went kaboom as an actor. Great stuff if you like the mix between Rock and Folk.

ooops, I forgot my hand my heart
Russell Crowe's latest album :D
fueschgast: Heroes[personal profile] fueschgast on October 1st, 2007 11:37 am (UTC)
Ah, yes, heard of the Hurricane Festival. I thought maybe you meant hurricane Dean ^^.
No, never seen a single episode of SoNoTorious. What kind of character does Zach play there?
[identity profile] silme711.livejournal.com on October 1st, 2007 04:19 pm (UTC)
Zach's character is Sasan, Tori's best friend. He's an openly gay (but secretly gay to his parents) Persian-American who tends to be critical at times, hoping it will knock a little sense into Tori ;)
It's a little weird but hilarios so you should definitely watch it sometime.
